NOSOTROS

NOSOTROS – Two Souths, One Song is an intimate music-theatre performance in which flamenco and Argentine music come together in a story about love.

María Robles and Hernán Lucero bring to life two lovers who meet, lose one another and find each other again. Together with guitarist Álvaro Rovira, they build musical bridges between Seville and Buenos Aires. Passion, longing, humour and tenderness run through a performance in which music, dance and two cultures become one.

María Robles – vocals & flamenco dance
A flamenco singer and dancer from Seville, María has been based in the Netherlands for more than thirty years. She studied at the Conservatorio de Sevilla and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. For her, flamenco is a language through which she connects different worlds.

Hernán Lucero – vocals & guitar
An Argentine singer, composer and guitarist, Hernán is one of the most highly regarded voices in contemporary Argentine music. Rooted in tango, his work also explores Argentine folklore, rock and other popular musical traditions, bringing Argentina’s rich musical heritage to life in a deeply personal and contemporary way.

Álvaro Rovira – guitar
With his refined and expressive playing, Álvaro creates the musical bridge between flamenco and the Argentine sounds at the heart of the performance.
